Accounts


Account Details

You can view detailed information for each of your deposit and loan accounts. View account transactions for checking, savings and money market accounts. To view another account from the Accounts page, use the drop down box containing your accounts located towards the upper section of the page.


Account Summary

The Account Summary page lists the balance information for each of your accounts and provides links to each account's Account Details page. The Account Summary page will display balances that reflect posted transactions. To view your available balance(s), which may include pending and electronic transactions, click the Account Name links for balance details and posted transactions.


Create Account Nicknames

You can personalize your accounts with another name to easily identify an account. You may nickname some or all of your accounts. From the Accounts tab, click on "Manage Accounts" to enter a nickname for any account. Click the "pencil" icon to modify the account you wish to nickname.


Currency

The default currency is United States Dollars (USD) and cannot be altered.


Edit Transactions

To modify your transactions based on a category, click the "Edit Transactions" button on the Account Details page. By changing a category, you can run a report or easily sort your transactions based on a category. If you added a Customer Category for your accounts, you will be able to use those categories to update your transactions.


Reports

View a report of your deposit and loan accounts for a total of your Net Worth or run a report based on your categorized transactions.


Today's Credits and Debits

Access these links located within the Account Details page to view transactions on your checking and savings accounts that are pending.

Transfers


Transfer Funds

Choose a "from" account from the drop down box. Choose a "to" account from the drop down box. Enter a dollar amount including cents. (EX. 10.00) Select a date for the transfer to occur. You can schedule a transfer up to 30 days in advance. Transfers requested prior to 8:00 PM ET Monday-Friday are processed for that business day.


Pending Transfers

This page lists any pending transfer(s) you may have. If your transfer is incorrect or you wish to cancel a transfer, select the specific transfer and click the "Cancel" button. This page will display recurring transfers on the day it is scheduled to occur. If you wish to cancel or modify a recurring transfer that is not displayed on the Pending Transfers page, please click the "Recurring Transfers" link to modify or delete a recurring transfer.


Recurring Transfers

Use this page to establish transfers on an ongoing basis. You can establish transfers to occur monthly, quarterly or once a year. Accounts eligible for transfers are available in the drop down boxes.


Transfer History

This page will display all requested transfers, including cancelled transfers.

Bill Payment


Add a Merchant

Using the Merchant Accounts option, select Add Merchant and then type in the merchant name you wish to pay.


Payment History

You can view all payments that were processed and/or cancelled. Recurring payments will not have a reference number. You will be able to store up to 7 years of history.


Merchant Accounts

You can utilize this page to view all active merchants.

  • By clicking the merchant's name, you can view the address, phone number and the method of payment to the merchant.
  • You can verify your account with a merchant.
  • Update your account number.


Pay Bills

  • Establish or modify recurring payment information and click on a specific merchant.
  • Remove/Cancel recurring payments.


Quick Pay

To pay multiple bills at one time from one screen, use this page. Frequently used merchants will display on this list.

  • Select the merchants to pay. Enter the dollar amount of the payment in dollars and cents, excluding dollar signs. Select the date you wish the payment to be deducted from your checking account and processed, payment frequency and number of payments.
  • Choose the account from which you want the payment to be made from the "Pay bills from" drop down box. When all fields are completed, click the "Setup" button at the bottom of the page.

Payment Processing

To allow your merchants sufficient time to credit your payments, we suggest that you pay your bills 5 business days prior to the due dates for check payments and 2 business days for electronic payments. Payments are sent to merchants either electronically or by check based on arrangements by the bank and the merchants. To review the payment status of your merchants, click Merchant Accounts. If you select today's date as your Pay Date prior to 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on a business day (Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays), your payment will be processed by the bank for today's date and the funds will be sent to the merchant the following business day. If a payment is requested for today's date after 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) or on a non-business day, the bank will process the payment the next business day and the funds will be sent to the merchant the following business day. If you select a date to schedule a payment that is a non-business day, your payment will be processed on the following business day. You may also schedule payments up to 18 months in advance.


Scheduled Payments

  • You can use this page to verify the details of your bill payments and validate bill payments are scheduled to be processed. If you wish to cancel or modify a pending payment, simply select it from the list and click the Cancel button.
  • If you wish to modify a payment, select the Merchant Name and modify your information.


Recurring Payments

If you are establishing a merchant for Recurring Payments, the Start Date will indicate the date of the first payment and will determine the date for future payments scheduled to be processed.

Example:

By selecting a start date of February 15, all future payments will be processed on the 15th of the month(s) you have chosen. If any of these future dates are non-business days, the bank will process the payments(s) on the preceding business day.


Single Payment

To make one payment only, use this page. Select the merchant you want to pay. Enter the date you wish the payment to be deducted from your checking account and processed by the bank. Enter the dollar amount of the payment in dollars and cents, excluding the dollar sign. Choose the account from which you want the payment to be made from the drop down box.


Alerts

The Alerts screen lists a number of events that trigger an alert message to notify you via email. Under Scheduled Reminders you may also set up to receive email reminders for birthdays, appointments, etc.


Contact Us

Please use the secure internal email system within Bill Pay to contact us with any questions. You can set up an alert which will notify you when a response arrives.


Account-to-Account Transfers

Account-to-Account Transfers allow you to transfer funds between your United account(s) and deposit accounts you have at other financial institutions.

Stop Payments


Individual Check

To place a stop payment on an individual check, complete all fields listed. Check the box beside the Stop Payment Fee and select the Account Number by using the drop down box. Enter the number of the check you wish to stop in the field beside "Check Number." Enter the dollar amount of the check you wish to stop beside "Dollar Amount." Enter to whom the check was written beside "Payee." Enter the reason for the stop payment beside "Reason for Stop Payment." Click the "Add Stop" button after all fields are completed.


Inquiry

Use this page to verify a stop payment has been placed during the last 6 months.

Other Services


Contacts

The Contacts page under the Support tab of Other Services lists the contact information for Smart Touch Online Banking.


Custom Categories

Custom Categories section lets you categorize your transactions, so that you can group and track them. For example, you can create an "Automobile Expenses" category; when you make a transaction that applies to your automobile expenses, you can use the "Edit Transactions" button (located right above Account History) on Account Detail page to add, edit or delete category descriptions for your checking, savings and money market account transactions. A default category list will appear and will automatically be in use for posted transactions. Transactions are "uncategorized" on the first day of enrollment; default categories appear the next day. Categories can be used to easily sort transactions or for reports. You can add, modify or delete your category descriptions from the Custom Categories link under the Other Services tab.


Editing Sign on Information

You can change your password, Secret Question and the answer to the Secret Question. To get to the Preferences page, click on the Other Services tab. After you change your login information, you must click Save in order to have the changes take effect.


Editing Personal Information

Under Preferences, you can edit your default e-mail address, personal information, account permissions and your opt-in/opt-out. To get to the Preferences page, click on the Other Services tab. After you change your login information, you must click Save in order to have the changes take effect.

Forgotten Password

If you forget your password, you can click To unlock your account or reset your password link on the Smart Touch Online Banking Logon page. You then must complete the following steps:

  • You must enter your Smart Touch Online Banking User ID. Online Banking Customer Service then will send a Token key to your default e-mail address.
  • You must retrieve the Token key from your e-mail account and enter your User ID and the Token key on the Forgotten Password page.
  • Next, you need to answer your Secret Question.
  • If you answer your Secret Question correctly, you can enter a temporary password.
  • After you create a new password, you can sign on to Smart Touch Online Banking. You will be prompted to update your password the next time you sign on.

Alternatively, you can contact an Online Banking customer service representative, who can reset your account password after you answer your Secret Question.


Notifications/Alerts

You can request an email notification/alert when your account reaches a predetermined status. You may elect to have your notification/alert sent to a different email address than what you established for your password retrieval emails. Notifications/Alerts are sent via email during the morning hours.

Under the Other Services tab, click Notifications. To add a notification, you need to click the Add button on the Scheduled Notifications page. Next, you must select an account from the drop-down menu, as well as triggers for the notification. The trigger options are:

Notifications

  • Trigger Type: You can have Smart Touch Online Banking send the notification in response to a change in account value, a withdrawal or a deposit
  • Trigger Modifier: Your choices are Greater Than, Equal To or Less Than
  • Value: You can choose a deposit, withdrawal or account balance value to trigger the notification

The notification automatically will be sent to the default email address that is listed in your Personalization, unless you enter a new email address on the Add Notification page. When you are done entering information for your notification, click Save.


Preferences

The Preferences page lists profile information. To get to Preferences, click on the Other Services tab. This includes your "opt-in/opt-out" status for participation in account-specific marketing and whether or not you wish to receive updates from us via email. If you wish to discontinue updates from us via email, please uncheck the box under changing your personal information.


Secret Question and Answer

You can use your Secret Question and Answer to unlock your account if you forget your password. For security reasons, therefore, the Secret Question and Answer should be one that cannot be guessed easily. You can change your Secret Question and Answer from the Preferences page.


LOG OFF

To end your Online Banking session, use the Log Off tab to exit. If you share this computer with another user, we recommend closing the browser as an added security measure.
