Vienna, VA (February 4, 2004)-- United Bank has announced that B. Todd Dempsey, Jr., has joined the bank as Vice President and Business Lending Manager.

Mr. Dempsey has been a part of Northern Virginia’s banking community for more than 23 years, bringing extensive experience in working with small to medium-sized businesses to meet their borrowing needs. His background also includes management positions in consumer lending and branch administration.

A graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Business Administration, Mr. Dempsey is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia, and has participated in numerous seminars and workshops on issues related to banking and finance. He is a member of the McLean Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the McLean Rotary Club, where he was named Rotarian of the Year in 2001 and 2003. He also serves a member of the Loan Committee of the Virginia Asset Financing Corporation.
